You will also learn the ways that fibers are prepared for spinning and the characteristics of each, including roving, batts, and top. You will begin to spin both wool and mohair and leave with the skill to make yarn. The cost is $50 per person, which includes fiber to spin, handouts and light refreshment. Next spinning class is scheduled for July 10th (1-4pm) Beginning Weaving-- In this series of classes you will plan and weave a sampler of 4 harness weave structures and a finished scarf made of either cotton or wool. These are private classes.The cost is $20 per hour. Beginning Dyeing -- This class is tailored for your needs. You will learn dyeing on either cotton/plant based yarn or fabric OR dyeing wool yarn, fleece/roving or felt. You will learn how to make stock solutions and then use those solutions to dye yarn, fleece or fabric. Next Dyeing class is June 17th (9am-12pm). The cost is $60 per person, which includes dyes, handouts and light refreshment. If you are interested in any of these classes, please email me for availability and pricing.
